Dr. Hasan Taslidere, DDS

I'm Dr. Hasan Taşlıdere — a dentist born in Belgium and based in Istanbul, Turkey, where I have been living and practicing since 2017.

I hold a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Yeditepe University Faculty of Dentistry, one of Turkey's most established dental schools, and I am licensed as a dental practitioner in both Turkey and Belgium. Before moving to Istanbul, I trained and practiced in Brussels, giving me a direct comparative perspective on dental standards across both Western European and Turkish clinical environments.

My professional focus sits at the intersection of clinical dentistry, oral radiology, and independent patient consultancy. Over the years I have worked with complex cases involving implants, full-mouth rehabilitations, zirconia restorations, and international dental tourism patients from across Europe, the UK, North America, and Australia.

What I have seen — again and again — is that complications rarely come from bad intentions. They come from poor planning, rushed decisions, and unrealistic promises. That is where I step in.

Turkish dental clinics earn money from treatment. An independent consultant earns money from consultation. These are fundamentally different incentive structures — and they lead to fundamentally different advice.

I have no referral agreements with any clinic in Turkey. I receive no commission when a patient books treatment at a clinic I recommend. My recommendation is based solely on clinical merit, credential verification, and the specific needs of each patient's case.

A 2024 survey by the British Dental Association found that over 40% of UK dentists had treated patients returning from Turkey requiring corrective work. Nearly one in five of those cases involved irreversible damage. My service exists specifically to reduce the number of patients who become part of that statistic.
