Patient Reviews and Consultation Outcomes

Six case studies appear below alongside the carousel testimonials. Each one describes a real consultation — the clinical records submitted, the findings in the review, and what the patient did with that information. The outcomes range from redirected treatment plans to avoided complications to confirmed good decisions.

They are not reviews of any particular Turkish clinic — they are accounts of what the consultation process found and how patients used that information. Reviews in the testimonial section below reflect patients' own words and are published with their permission. The written case studies further down this page have had identifying details changed to protect privacy, but the clinical findings and outcomes described are accurate.

Dr. Taslidere does not edit or curate reviews to remove negative feedback. If a patient felt the consultation did not meet expectations, that feedback is taken seriously. To date, the most common criticism is that patients wished they had contacted the service earlier, before paying a deposit. If you are at the early stage of evaluating a treatment plan, the FAQ page explains the consultation process in full.

What Patients Say

Real stories from real people who avoided costly mistakes and got the care they deserved.

"Dr. Taslidere saved me from making a huge mistake. The clinic I was about to book with was offering veneers for an incredibly low price, but he showed me exactly why they were cutting corners. He helped me find a reputable clinic instead, and I couldn't be happier with my results."

Sarah, United Kingdom10 upper veneers + 4 lower crowns

Sarah received a quote for 10 upper veneers and 4 lower crowns from a clinic in Istanbul at £4,800. The review identified that 4 of the upper teeth included in the veneer plan showed no aesthetic indication for treatment in the submitted photographs. They were healthy, well-aligned teeth being prepared for veneers purely to increase the number of units in the quote. The revised plan covered 6 veneers, which addressed the teeth actually visible in her smile. She proceeded with the modified scope, avoided irreversible preparation of 4 sound teeth, and reduced her total cost by approximately £1,600.

Marcus, GermanyAll-on-4 lower jaw

Marcus had been quoted for All-on-4 on the lower jaw by two Istanbul clinics, both describing the procedure as completable in a single 5-day trip. The review of his panoramic X-ray showed significant bone resorption in the posterior mandible, with the inferior alveolar nerve sitting in a position that would require a nerve repositioning procedure before standard implant placement was possible. Neither clinic had flagged this. The review recommended obtaining a CBCT and consulting a maxillofacial surgeon before proceeding. Marcus avoided what could have been a serious complication from a procedure planned without adequate imaging.

Fiona, IrelandFull-mouth rehabilitation — 20 zirconia crowns

Fiona had been quoted for 20 zirconia crowns across the full arch by a clinic in Antalya for €6,800. The review found that 8 of the posterior teeth included in the plan showed no restorative indication in the X-rays — no decay, no existing failing restorations, structurally intact. The clinical justification offered was aesthetic uniformity. The review recommended a conservative approach covering only the anterior teeth with genuine aesthetic concerns (8 upper units), leaving the posterior teeth untouched. The revised plan cost approximately €2,800 for the indicated work only — saving €4,000 and avoiding permanent removal of tooth structure from 12 healthy teeth.

David, AustraliaSingle implant + 3 adjacent crowns

David needed a single implant in the upper left quadrant. The clinic's treatment plan also included 3 adjacent crowns described as necessary to stabilise the bite. The review found the adjacent teeth were intact with no caries and no existing failing restorations — the crowns were not clinically indicated. The review also identified that the implant brand listed was described only as "premium titanium implant" with no manufacturer named. After receiving the review, David asked the clinic to name the brand. They named a manufacturer he could not verify as a recognised implant company. He asked for Straumann instead. The clinic agreed. He saved approximately AUD $3,200 by declining the unindicated crowns.

Anneke, NetherlandsComposite veneers — 8 upper teeth

Anneke was considering composite veneers on 8 upper teeth from a clinic in Izmir at €1,200 total. The review confirmed the treatment scope was appropriate and the price was reasonable. The primary finding was that the clinic's written consent form contained no mention of composite longevity (typically 3–5 years before replacement is needed) or maintenance requirements. The review provided Anneke with a list of questions about the composite material brand, polishing protocol, and replacement cost per tooth. She proceeded with the treatment, having negotiated a clear written maintenance schedule and a fixed per-tooth price for future replacements.

James, CanadaAll-on-6 upper jaw — complication review after treatment

James had All-on-6 placed in Istanbul 14 months before contacting the service. He was experiencing persistent pain around two upper-right implants. The review of his post-treatment X-rays identified peri-implant bone loss around both symptomatic implants, consistent with early peri-implantitis, likely related to excess cement remaining below the gum line at placement — a known complication of cement-retained prosthetics. The review provided a written report that James's Canadian dentist used as a baseline to plan debridement and monitoring, and which James is using as part of a complaint to the Turkish Dental Association.

What patients say about the process

Across consultation cases, several themes appear consistently in patient feedback.

The first is speed: patients are often surprised that a written report arrives within 24-48 hours of submitting clinical records. Dental decisions frequently come with time pressure — clinics offer early-booking discounts, or patients have already started planning travel — and a clinical opinion delivered quickly matters.

The second is the specificity of the findings. Patients report that having written clinical language to refer back to — specific brands, specific measurements, specific questions to ask the clinic — is more useful than general reassurance. Several patients have used their consultation report as a negotiating tool when asking clinics to justify or change elements of a plan.

The third theme is the value of honest negative findings. A number of patients report that they had privately suspected something was off about their treatment plan but found it difficult to get objective confirmation. Receiving a report that validated those concerns — without having to push back against a clinic's sales process — gave them confidence to either ask harder questions or walk away.

For patients still evaluating their options, the dental implants guide and the veneers guide explain what a well-specified treatment plan should contain. The cost calculator gives a benchmark for what fair market prices look like in 2026.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about how the reviews and case studies on this page were collected.

Yes. The carousel testimonials and case studies above represent real consultation outcomes. Names and identifying details in the case studies have been changed to protect patient privacy, and patients gave permission for anonymised versions of their cases to be shared. The clinical details — treatment types, findings, and outcomes — are accurate.

No. A meaningful proportion of consultations conclude that the proposed treatment is clinically appropriate, the materials are correctly specified, and the price is fair. In those cases, the report says so clearly. The value of those consultations is the confidence they provide — patients can proceed knowing they have had their plan reviewed by a dentist with no reason to give anything other than an honest assessment.

Dr. Taslidere does not facilitate direct contact between prospective and former patients, as this would require sharing private information. The case studies above, combined with the carousel testimonials, are the primary form of evidence available. Specific concerns that the published cases do not address can be raised via WhatsApp or email before booking.
