Price comparisons in dental tourism require two layers of context that a simple calculator cannot provide on its own: what is included in the quoted price, and what the same result costs if it needs to be corrected. The table below covers the first layer — mid-market rates for seven common procedures across five countries, based on 2025–2026 data. The interpretation guide beneath it addresses the second.
Turkey prices in the calculator reflect 2025–2026 market averages across Istanbul, Antalya, Izmir, and Ankara. Home-country figures are based on published dental association fee surveys and privately reported costs, updated annually. The figures represent mid-market averages — actual prices for your specific case will depend on the clinic tier, materials used, the complexity of your treatment, and the city.
One important regional note: Istanbul clinics are typically 10–25% more expensive than clinics in Antalya or Izmir for the same procedure with equivalent materials. This reflects higher operating costs in Istanbul and the concentration of clinics targeting international patients in that market. If price is your primary consideration, Antalya and Izmir are worth evaluating — though the decision should also factor in logistics, language, and how complex your treatment is.
The calculator gives you a directional estimate. For a more precise picture, see the detailed comparison table below the calculator, or use the patient reviews to understand how real quotes have compared to market rates.

Watch on YouTubeThe savings figure the calculator shows is the difference between the average Turkey market price and the average home-country price. Before treating this as a final number, adjust for two additional costs.
Travel costs for a standard dental tourism trip from the UK or Ireland — return flights plus 5–10 nights of accommodation — typically fall in the €450–€1,100 range. From Australia or North America, flights alone will add €700–€1,500. These costs are real and should be subtracted from the headline savings figure.
The more significant variable is the cost of correction if treatment fails or is performed to a substandard level. Corrective dental work done in the patient's home country after a failed Turkish procedure typically costs between €3,000 and €10,000, depending on the procedure. Peri-implantitis management, veneer replacement on over-prepared teeth, or an All-on-4 prosthetic remake represent the upper end of that range. This is why the margin between a well-chosen clinic and a poorly-chosen clinic matters significantly — the price difference between them is much smaller than the cost of remediation.
A useful rule of thumb: if a quote comes in below the lower bound of the Turkey price range shown in the calculator, it warrants specific investigation before proceeding. An independent consultation is the most reliable way to determine what category a specific quote falls into.
All figures are average market rates. Turkey figures reflect Emax or standard-tier zirconia materials; implant prices assume a mid-range brand such as Osstem or Megagen. Premium implant brands (Straumann, Nobel Biocare) add 20–40% to the Turkey implant price.

The headline price on a Turkish dental tourism quote is rarely the final number a patient pays. Understanding the most common hidden costs before you commit makes the comparison more realistic.
For patients with bone resorption — common after tooth loss — implant placement requires a bone graft before or at the time of surgery. This is a separate surgical procedure that typically costs €300–€800 per site. Many initial quotes for implants assume adequate bone volume without any imaging to confirm this. Patients arrive to find that a graft is required and the total cost is substantially higher than the quote.
The standard All-on-4 protocol involves a temporary acrylic prosthetic worn during the osseointegration period (typically 3–6 months), followed by a final zirconia bridge. Many clinic quotes cover only the acrylic provisional. The final zirconia bridge is a separate cost, typically €3,000–€6,000 per jaw. Patients who believe they have been quoted for a complete procedure sometimes discover mid-way through treatment that the final restoration was never included in the original price.
A cone beam CT (CBCT) scan is necessary for proper implant planning. Not all clinics own CBCT equipment — some send patients to external imaging centres. When not included in the quote, CBCT scans cost €80–€200 per scan. More significantly, clinics without on-site CBCT are less equipped to manage the planning process correctly, which is itself a risk factor.
Common questions about the calculator methodology and pricing data.
The Turkey prices are based on 2025–2026 market rates observed across clinics in Istanbul, Antalya, Izmir, and Ankara. UK figures are sourced from NHS reference costs and published private clinic pricing. US, Australian, and German prices are based on published dental association fee surveys and patient-reported costs. All figures represent average market rates — actual prices for your specific case will depend on the clinic tier, materials used, and complexity of treatment.
Istanbul-based clinics have higher operating costs — rent, staff, and equipment maintenance in a major international city. Many Istanbul clinics also invest significantly in marketing to international patients, which is reflected in their pricing. Antalya and Izmir clinics typically offer prices 10–25% lower for the same materials and procedure complexity. The city you choose should be based on clinical factors and logistics as well as cost — not price alone.
No. The calculator shows the difference in treatment cost only. For most patients travelling from the UK or Ireland, return flights to Istanbul or Antalya cost €150–€350. Accommodation for a standard dental trip (5–10 nights) adds €300–€700. Even after accounting for these travel costs, the savings on treatment are typically significant — often 60–70% compared to UK private prices. Factor in your specific travel costs before treating the calculator result as a final savings figure.
A quote that falls 30% or more below the average Turkey prices shown in the calculator warrants investigation. The most common reasons for unusually low prices are: use of unbranded or low-tier implants not disclosed in the quote, a prosthetic plan that includes only an acrylic temporary rather than a final restoration, missing line items that will be billed separately later, or a genuinely loss-leading price designed to upsell additional treatment once you arrive. An independent consultation can determine which category applies to a specific quote.
Several common costs are frequently omitted from initial quotes. Bone grafting and sinus lift procedures, when required for implant placement, are almost always billed separately — typically €300–€800 per procedure. A CBCT scan, which is necessary for implant planning, may be billed separately at €80–€200 if not included. For All-on-4 or All-on-6 cases, the initial quote may cover only the acrylic provisional prosthetic, with the final zirconia bridge quoted separately at a later stage. Post-operative check-up visits, if you return to Turkey, will also carry a cost.
